As Arnold Myers I was also surprised, when I read the original posting,
that any ICOM committee would consider it necessary to have financial
support in order
to establish a network presence.

In the case of Belgian national ICOM committee, we also just went ahead and
put up Web pages without thought of money. But of course there is a cost.

Howhever the creation of the material has been volntary work on the web
server of the university museum of Louvain-la-Neuve.

If national belgian ICOM committee wished to have a
much larger presence with more files or a database or for a highly
developed presentation, then I do think we would need to pay someone to
do some of the work.

What should be very usefull to begin is that the ICOM central server
should give alphabetical list of links with national committees.
