INTERCOM 2007 - Leadership Challenges in the 21st Century
Vienna, 20-22 August 2007

FINAL CALL FOR PAPERS!

In conjunction with the ICOM triennial conference in Vienna, INTERCOM is
preparing a three-day programme from Monday 20 August to Wednesday 22
August and would hereby like to invite you to put forward an expression
of interest to participate in the INTERCOM programme under the theme of
Leadership Challenges in the 21st Century.

Two topics will be explored in depth with a range of international
speakers from around the world:

 - Leading Creativity
 - Leading Diversity Agendas

We cordially invite the sector and particularly INTERCOM members to
submit proposals for key note speeches, case studies, research papers
and best practice models that demonstrate how museums can overcome
leadership challenges in these two areas. The final deadline for sending
us your proposal is Monday 26 March.

Go to http://www.intercom.museum/Vienna2007.html for more information.

SPECIAL EVENT - Stephen Weil Memorial Lecture

On Monday evening the 20 August, INTERCOM will be presenting a special
Stephen Weil Memorial Lecture. Building on the legacy of Stephen Weil,
founding member of INTERCOM and international expert in museum
management, a key speaker will be talking on leadership challenges in
museums in the 21st Century. The lecture is free to attend and open to
all conference delegates. Watch out for more details on this special
event.

This event is being supported by a special ICOM grant to celebrate
ICOM's 60th Anniversary.

INTERCOM will offer small bursaries for up to three colleagues to
support their expenses for attending the conference. Priority will be
given to those who will otherwise not be able to participate. If you
would like to apply for a bursary, please submit a recommendation from
your employer.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to get in
touch and email us at [log in to unmask]

We look forward to hearing from you.

With best wishes,

Francoise
