The software used to maintain the ICOM Web server was changed on
July 16th and should now provide significantly faster service.
Users who notice any irregularities or problems are requested to
report these to [log in to unmask]

As previously, the server allows the Web resources maintained by
individual ICOM Committees to be addressed in the form:

     http://www.icom.org/committeename

regardless of the actual network address of any of these
resources. For example, the ICOM-CC resource is located
at:

   http://www.natmus.min.dk/cons/icom_cc/icom_cc.htm

it may, however, also be addressed as

   http://www.icom.org/icom-cc

The alternate designation is provided solely as a location aid.
The actual document server will respond with the correct address
of the resource.

Please note that every ICOM Committee does not maintain a Web
site. A list of the Committees that have reported addresses for
their network resources to the maintainers of the central ICOM
site is provided via http://www.icom.org/
