IATM on Madrid 03-11

Shattered by the terrorist attack in Madrid on 11th March the Board of IATM wish to express our deepest compassion for the victims and their next-of-kin.

Terrorism has become the curse of our time and the feeling of powerlessness is spreading among us all, ensued by the fear of the consequences of the terror for our everyday life and conduct.

The members of IATM are occupied with transport and communications - two areas unlikely to avoid being increasingly affected by the menace constituted by terrorist activities.

Our thoughts are with our Spanish members conscious that they shall do their utmost to play an active role in the efforts to help their fellow citizens to handle and overcome this terrible tragedy.
