I am more than apalled by the news and scenes we see every day regarding the
looting and rampage of cultural heritage in Iraq.
I think we must insist on ICOMīs role as the Museumīs international
organisation of museums, therefore we must position ourselves as such. We
group all kinds of museum specialists and have worldwide membership that
could help, given the chance and plans to do so.
I do hope it would be feasable to design such a strategy...
