One further change has been made to ICOM's central e-mail
distribution lists. Members of ICOM-ANNOUNCE do not need to take
any action in order to continue receiving the material that has
thus far been sent to that list. The address from which this
material will arrive has, however, been changed.

Communications may be addressed to the ICOM lists and the list
archives accessed as previously.

For the curious:

The recent restructuring of the ICOM-L and ICOM-ANNOUNCE
distribution lists has left the latter with a rather small
number of members. There is, therefore, little reason to
continue to maintain the lists separately.

Instead, a special topic heading for official announcements has
been added to ICOM-L. The members of that list can elect either
to receive all communications sent to the list, or to receive
only those messages sent under the topic heading "ANNOUNCE".

All members of ICOM-ANNOUNCE have been moved to ICOM-L and their
subscriptions have been set so that they will receive messages
with the ANNOUNCE topic heading, only. This means that they will
receive exactly the same material that otherwise would have been
sent via ICOM-ANNOUNCE. Once this subdivision of ICOM-L has
been determined to function properly, information will be
provided about how list members may change their subscription
status.
