Having worked closely with Piet over the course of some twenty years as we served on the board of ICTOP, were both chairs of that board, then of course followed his work as treasurer of ICOM, I developed a deep respect for Piet's dedication to the goals of ICOM, his integrity, and hard work on behalf of all of us. I endorse his nomination for Honorary Membership in ICOM.

I deeply share the point of view that Piet Pouw should be named as
Honorary Member of ICOM. During my relations with the organization,
since the Leiden convention in 1989 precisely, I had many occasions
to measure his sense of loyality and his enthusiastic will to be part
of a professional organization. These last years, he has sacrificied
the quietness of his family life to give a great hand and by this, he
has proved his strong and exceptional commitment to ICOM.
