	ICOM/CECA'07 Vienna
	Museums and Universal Heritage. 
					  Heritage Learning Matters
	

	CONFERENCE VENUE AND DATES
	Vienna, Austria, August 20 - 22, 2007
	
	ICOM/CECA'07 is the separate three day meeting of ICOM's Committee for Education and Cultural Action, within the ICOM triennial Coference, 2007 in Vienna. ICOM/CECA is committed to work as the international professional group for museum education and cultural action, engaged in cutting edge issues and research (www.ceca.icom.museum). At this conference, ICOM/CECA'07 will treat questions of education and cultural action under the theme "Museums and Universal Heritage. Heritage Learning Matters", with a programme geared at this international expert audience. 
	
	PARTICIPATING AND CONTRIBUTING

	For our ICOM/CECA'07-Conference in Vienna, we invite proposals that demonstrate how we can contribute to making this "heritage sharing" a broad and inclusive responsibility. 
	With keynotes, research papers, panels and presentations of practical examples, we shall investigate the following sub-themes
- Museology and Heritage Learning -  Public institutions for personal learning
	- Measuring and demonstrating the impact of museum learning
	- Training for and conveying the value of museum education and heritage learning

	ICOM/CECA'07-PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR, Hadwig Kraeutler and PROJECT PARTNERS in Austria (Museums, Cultural organisations) invite ICOM-Members to participate in and contribute to three days of professional discussions and learning. 
	
	If you are interested in contributing to this interdisciplinary conference, please send proposals for research papers (250 words), panels (200 words) and presentations of practical examples (100 words) by January 19th 2007

	Do not forget to indicate which of the subthemes your work is treating, also your role within the work/project, your contact- as well as institutional/organisational details (Name, Degree, Position, Address, Tel. + Fax-numbers; Email-addresses). There will be ICOM/CECA'07 online forms for proposals and registration (expected for end November 2006).
