We also extend our condolence to the citizens of all these affected countries. 
We have some joint projects in the area in relation with cultural tourism in 
coastal areas and the information from our colleagues from Sri Lanka and 
Malaysia are terrible. 
 
Please, let us know your prelimitary monitoring data about the situation in the 
region after the identification of the needs of museum and heritage 
professionals. We are interested in to collaborate if there is some 
international initiative to coordinate the aid to optimize results. We will try 
to search financial funds from Spain to help our colleagues to recover their 
cultural and heritage resources after the first humanitary aid to cover the 
main necessities. In this sense, Spanish government and NG0's are collaborating 
now in the first humanitary help in the area.
