Dear Gary:

I think the inclusion of major museums in ICOM as a major task to be
accomplished. Not only through membership but at a pro active level where
they may participate in ICOM´s projects and programmes.
Now, about intitutional membership.... I would only suggest that a thorough
research be carried out as to what a "larger intitution is" and the "number
of employees at the member institution". I am thinking of National or
Regional museums in small countries or even large museums in developing
countries.
I am sure you have this in mind and will come up with a good solution, but I
thought I might share my thoughts with you and the rest of ICOM-L.
