      ICOM-CC 14th Triennial Meeting

      ‘Our Cultural Past – Your Future!’



      12 – 16 September 2005

      The Hague, The Netherlands





      The ICOM-CC Triennial Meeting ‘Our Cultural Past – Your Future!’ will

      be an inspiring and memorable event that will bring you up to speed

      on the state of the art in the fields of conservation and

      restoration.



      The programme of the 14th Triennial Meeting of the ICOM-Conservation

      Committee is completed. The congress offers plenary sessions on 4

      themes: Involvement of Society in Conservation, Some Dutch Cases,

      Museums and Emergency Situations and Museums and Public Engagement in

      Conservation.



      Members of the 22 working groups have been expanding their expertise

      and knowledge of conservation and restoration on all fronts. The

      achievements of these three years will be presented e.g.

         new results on the research on iron gall ink corrosion - InkCor

         Project Working Group Graphic documents

         new database approach for making the contents of a documentary

         source widely accessible: Historical Recipe Database with ground

         recipes for oil painting Working Group Documentation

         a study of red lake paints after Vincent van Gogh Working Group

         Paintings

         the analysis of early synthetic dyes Working Group Textiles

         results of the AXA Art Conservation Project  Working Group Modern

         Materials

         educating conservators for a lifelong commitment Working Group

         Education and Training

         Risk assessment: application to an historic building and its

         collections and the consequences for preservation management

         Working Group Preventive Conservation
