ICEE Annual Conference -- Go International! The Challenge of Creating
International Exhibitions/*

The ICEE Annual Conference will be held at the Deutsches Historisches
Museum in Berlin, Germany, from Sunday evening October 23 to Wednesday
October 26, 2011.

The ICEE Board, in close collaboration with colleagues in Berlin, is
planning three days of keynote addresses, panel sessions, study tours,
many networking opportunities and our well known marketplace around the
general theme of "Go International! The Challenge of Creating
International Exhibitions."

During this inspiring meeting, we will discuss new challenges in
exhibition development within a global context. We will also take a
closer look at new museum concepts in Berlin, including the Neues
Museum, the Museumsinsel, the Humboldt-Forum and other exciting venues.
Again this year, we will hold our traditional "Marketplace of
exhibitions and ideas" as one highlight of our meeting as well as our
touring day in museums and exhibitions.

Keynotes speakers will include:

· Hermann Parzinger, Director General of the Prussian Heritage
Foundation, Berlin, Germany

. Han Meeter, Professor, Reinwardt Academy Amsterdam, The Netherlands

. Alberto Garlandini, President of ICOM Italy, Professor Museali,
Milano, Italy (TBC)

. Kathryn Keane, National Geographic Society, Washington, USA

. Jörg Ehtreiber, Director of the Children Museum Frida & Fred in
Graz, Austria

. Linda Carioni , CONTEMPORANEA PROGETTI, Firenze, Italy

Words of Welcome by Dr. Hans-Martin Hinz, President of ICOM and Prof. Dr
Alexander Koch, President of the Deutsches Historisches Museum and Dr.
