Nevr-Dull is great - especially as you don't have to get the object wet to
remove residue. The volunteers at the Fire Museum use it for the hundreds of
pieces of brass we have - everything from lanterns to huge domes on steam
engines.

For items you want to actually "clean" as well as polish, try 3M's
Tarnishield. It has a wax in it which helps prevent tarnishing. It is more
messy, and there are more steps involved, but for major cleaning projects,
it works well.
