Colleagues,

Although this is at very short notice, list members, particularly in Europe
might be interested in a 2 day heritage conference in Riga, Latvia on 6 & 7
December 1999 which focuses on the role of craft in the built environment.

Organised by the Kulturvernakademiet in Norway and supported by the
Norwegian Royal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Latvian Chamber of Crafts
and Agency Riga 800, the conference will include speakers from Scotland,
Spain, Turkey, Portugal, Latvia, Norway and South Africa.

Conference details are available on the organisers' website which is:
www.kulturvernakademiet.no or by e-mail at: [log in to unmask]
