Hi all,
This weekend while cleaning out a closet, my mother happened to (re)discover
her old 1950s-era "Better Homes and Gardens" cookbook. It includes not only
recipes of the time but photographs of then-"state-of-the-art" kitchens,
June Cleaver-lookalike housewives, etc. I was wondering whether this item
might be of interest to any museums or historical agencies. Is it worth
saving from the trash can, which is where Mom was on the verge of pitching
it? (BTW, I would describe the book's condition as "fair." Hardly mint
condition, but not bad for a 50-year-old book that was actually used - in
the kitchen, around food, no less!) If anyone out there wants it, it's
yours.
Jennifer Bach
