12-month Museum Education Internship
January – December 2000
This hands-on internship involves behind-the-scene preparation for
educational programs as well as contact with children and adults as those
programs are realized. The successful candidate will assist with the
development and implementation of all educational programming, including a
summer camp, school group tours, the hands-on Museum Classroom, outreach
programs and the regional competition of National History Day. The
position will be 30 hours per week, with some weekend work required. The
intern will be a responsible individual who is capable of independent and
supervisory work.
Minimum qualifications: B.A. in History and/or Education; experience
working with children; superior communication and organizational skills.
