Depends on what kinds of bottles you're working with.  One of the handiest
resources available (IMHO) is Bill Hunt's medicine bottle index
(http://www.mwac.nps.gov/bottle_glass/), which allows you to enter any
fragment of medicine bottle glass text and generate a series of matches.
It's specifically a reference tool for working with embossed medicine
bottles, and may not help if you're looking mainly at beer and soda, etc.
