Just a quick note that my husband and I were in Santa Barbara last week and
visited the Mission. Didn't know about your museum. I am on this listserv
because our daughter is an art history/Italian major but now a film
studies/museum studies graduate student at NYU and she hasn't the time to
read the entries so I try to cull through for her--When we were at the Getty
in LA we bought a book called "Art Lover's Travel Guide to American museums"
(J Swirsky) in the US which lists times, places, etc--like a directory.
Your museum is not listed, however. Your summary on loans was informative.
I am a public health nurse so quite far afield but find the information
given so interesting.
I was quite taken with Santa B. There is a retirement place there called
Samarkand. We are East coast people and the location is just too far west.
By the way, my family name is Nelson.
All the best, Ruth N. Knollmueller
