Peter Liebhold, one of the curator's of "Between a Rock and a Hard Place: A
History of American Sweatshops, 1820-Present," will discuss the exhibit on
Thursday, November 11 at 7:30 pm here at Cincinnati Museum Center. The
lecture, free and open to the public, is part of our annual Cincinnati
Seminar on the City.

The June 1999 issue of "The Journal of American History" includes a review
of the exhibit.

This exhibit generated controversy over the inclusion of a section on the El
Monte, CA sweatshop, brought to light in 1995.

A virtual version of the exhibit is available at
http://www.si.edu/nmah/ve/sweatshops/start.htm

We would welcome anyone interested in the topic to attend Peter's lecture on
Nov. 11 at 7:30 pm.

Thanks,

Ruby
