Laurie,

The Texas Tech University Masters program in Museum Science requires students
to take a class called "Museum Law." It is taught by a law professor (Dr.
Marilyn Phelan) in the law school and the class is made up of 1/2 law
students and 1/2 museum science students. This class incorporates art and
law as well as basic laws regarding 501 (c) (3) organizations, private
foundations, etc. It was an excellent class and I would recommend it to
anyone interested in Museums, Art, etc. Perhaps you can get in touch with
Dr. Phelan via the TTU website or via the TTU Museum (call 806-742-2442, they
may be able to give you her number and you can ask the Museum for info about
their program as well) as I don't have her email address handy. She may be
able to inform you of any specific programs that are tailored to what you are
interested in.

Good Luck!

Sincerely,
  Ginger M. Young
