Please consider paternity leave as part of the equation. I was able to take
some personal leave after the birth of my daughter. My wife actually
returned to work before I did. The time my daughter and I had alone together
was very enjoyable. I hope that some day every father will have the same
opportunity. I missed this time with my son and regret it.

Subject: Maternity Leave
We are updating and upgrading our personnel policy manual.
I would
appreciate hearing from any and all about their museum's
maternity leave
policy and all else having to do with pregnant and new
parents that are
employee. How long are leaves, are they paid, what about
infants in the
work place, returning to work after the leave is over, etc.
I appreciate
all your assistance with this and the more information the
better.
