The Tech Museum of Innovation
Exhibit Project Manager

The mission of The Tech Museum of Innovation is to serve as an educational
resource that engages people of all ages and backgrounds in exploring and
experiencing technologies affecting their lives, and to inspire young
people to become innovators in developing technologies of the future.

The Exhibit Project Manager is a full-time, 12-month exempt position
reporting to the Director of Exhibits.  The Exhibit Project Manager will
have responsibility for the implementation of modifications to existing
exhibits in order to improve their durability, usability, and educational
value.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Works closely as a team member to coordinate the efforts of exhibit
developers, designers, engineers, Gallery Operations staff, industry
sponsors, volunteers and outside contractors in redesigning exhibits and
implementing modifications.
-Manages deliverables, sets priorities, resolves problems, identifies and
allocates resources to meet the requirements, time lines, cost and goals of
exhibit modification projects.
-Manages project sub-contractors and ensures commitments are met.
-Maintains and updates a schedule of exhibit modifications.
-Keeps Exhibits, Engineering and Gallery Operations staff informed about
the status of existing modification projects.
-Monitors and maintains expenses, budgets and contracts necessary for the
implementation of exhibit modifications.
-Maintains and documents correspondence and communications relating to
exhibit modification projects.
-Develops close relationships with industry, in order to facilitate in-kind
donations of equipment, time and exhibits.
-Performs other exhibit-related functions as assigned.

Qualifications:
* Must have excellent leadership, team building and facilitation skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Extremely
well-organized and attention to detail are a must.  Roll-up the sleeves and
make it happen attitude a must.
* BA/BS degree or equivalent.
* 2+ years project management experience in high-tech or construction
environments.
* Excellent computer skills, experience with project management software is
required.
* Outstanding time management skills.
* Innovative analytical and problem-solving skills.
