There are several articles in the newsletter of the Group for Education
in Museums outlining programs for the blind, if I remember correctly, at
the Walsall Art Gallery in Staffordshire. The articles can be accessed
through BMUSE, the online museology bibiliographic database.

GEM News also has articles on programs for mentally handicapped
visitors.

These articles predate the recent articles in Museum News as I believe
the legislation to provide access for visitors with "handicaps" and
"disabilities" was passed and came into force earlier in the UK than the
USA.

I too would be intereseted in the results of your investigation, both
online and in a published format.

All the best,

Leslie Munro
