Hello Museum-L'ers:

My museum is looking for the names and addresses of recommended
scholars of Mongolian and Oceanic (South Pacific) art in the U.S. We
have a objects of these origins in our collection that we would
like to know more about, but do not have an Asian or Oceanic curator
on our staff. We would be willing to pay an expert in each field
to come look at these objects and tell us more about them.

Our Oceanic collection has about 120 objects that include a club,
adze, knives, arrows, baskets, figurines, tapa cloths, grass skirts,
and dance masks, among other items. Our one Mongolian object is a
manuscript from the Kangxi Reign that has about 180-200 pages.

Any leads would be heartily appreciated! Thanks.

Sincerely,

Christy Sinksen
Assistant Registrar
