As one who volunteered when the 150th Anniversary was commemorated two
years ago with a "roving" exhibition, having volunteered first in LA
and then later in Kansas City (what can I say? I made a friend who
made the trip worth the while and volunteering for the Smithsonian was
the frosting on the cake), I must add they are a wonderful group of
people for which to volunteer.

If anything at the Cave and other branches was as great as it was in
the mobile venues, it's something one should consider.

I still wear the volunteer shirt I received, with pride, because, for
me, personally, it was such an honor to be involved. It's great two
years later, to be able to talk to my now three-year old, then infant
grandson about what the ruby slippers really look like in the Wizard of
Oz.
