The New York City Transit Authority has placed in certain subway stations
"gum Targets" where people can throw out there gum near the entrance to the
stations at Grand Central and Penn Station.  Maybe you can have something
also along the same lines; a more classy/interesting/attention grabbing
waste basket with a sign "Please dispose of your gum here before entering.
Thank you!"  Big arrows, smily faces, etc.
