I am teaching a course on history museum exhibits this fall.  When I
taught this course before, the students (graduate students in public
history) had a hard time understanding the amount of substantive
research required for an exhibition; in fact, I think that few of them
had really done any substantive research projects themselves before.
This time, I thought I might have them look at exhibition catalogs or
other publications that reveal the nature and extent of research that
goes into developing an interpretive history exhibit.  What are your
favorites/recommendations?
