Hello,
Through working with the Denver Natural History Museum in identifying,
classifying and cataloguing their bead collection with ethnologist Joyce
Herold, I became interested in trying to set up a bead database on the
internet. It seemed a shame not to tap into global expertise as well as
a shame not to share what we were learning about beads.
A project to develop a 'prototype' of an interactive bead database has
been funded by the Los Angeles and Greater Washington DC Bead Societies.
The project is just beginning.
The webpage is http://www.ris.net/~jud
If your museum has a bead collection, please join in. Other interested
parties, too.
All input welcomed.
Regards,
Dr Deborah Zinn
