For possibly related materials - check out Val Kill, the private home and
workshop of Eleanor Roosevelt in Hyde Park, NY. It's run by the National Park
Service, but little has been done to really advertise or develop the site
(other than getting it open to the public with very basic exhibits and
services). The "big houses" across the road seem to get all the attention -
But, the really cool history is at Eleanor's place.

Also, the real folk art of the artist about which the novel Patience and
Sarah was written is housed at the Fenimore Art Museum here in Cooperstown.
Paul D'Ambrosio is the curator of collections.
