    Heavens!  Let's just agree that certain drugs are ILLEGAL as someone has
again pointed out.  Let's also agree that an employer can require employees
to abide by the law and establish a Zero Tolerance policy toward the use of
these substances.   They are illegal.  Employers can fire staff who are
convicted of DUIs, public drunkenness, illegal sexual conduct, and other
violations of the law in one's private life.

    I would not want to work for such an employer, nor manage such a place.
On the other hand, as a museum director for nearly 20 years, I've simply
avoided that issue so far, and so far successfully (knock on wood).  Trying
to keep an ethical environment has not been so easy, but then there is no
law governing ethics within staff.

    There is no denying that in some situations for some people, drug
testing might produce erroneous evidence.   Those stopped on suspicion of
DUI have the same risk.   But can anyone cite a case where an individual has
been warned, fired, charged, or whatever, after such a "false reading.
