I think it really depends on your career goals. Do you want to pursue museum work? IF so, what kind? What kind should determine whether to go for fine arts or art history. Many jobs in the field recognize both just as validly. Conservation, though, may prefer fine arts, for example.

i am currently trying to decide between returning to grad school for
fine arts or for art history. as an undergrad i studied art history but
still did tons of studio. there are aspects of both that i really enjoy
and am therefore having great difficulty. is there any advice anyone
can offer?
