The article I was thinking of about the polyethylene bags was actually
National Park Service Conserve-O-Gram 5/4, 1976: "Storing Baskets in
Polyethylene Bags"...for some reason, it is not available with the rest
of the Conserve-O-Grams on the web, but I found it years ago as an
inter-library loan in the CSU system.
