As another academic year comes to a close, I expect
that we'll be seeing a collection of these posts.

The question of where can I go for job information
was nice and to the point, the answer to which may
benefit a broad spectrum of readers. Postings about
"I'm looking for a new position...will you hire me?"
fall into a much different category.

Can we, as a group, quickly agree that these kinds
of notices should be avoided on this list?
If EVERY ONE of the 2,445 people on this list
(or for that matter the subset of those currently
looking for a new position), the list would be
crammed full of these requests.

Job AVAILABLE announcements are GREAT! I hope we
will continue to see these types of postings.

And yes, we've been through this discussion before!
