Assistant/Associate Registrar:  Position Re-Opened  =20
Biltmore Estate seeks a full time Assistant/Associate Registrar. The =
successful candidate will oversee and manage the collections management =
system; establish protocols and data entry standards with the Registrar. =
 The incumbent will maintain and expand collections management software =
and filing systems for over 30,000 objects; coordinate the photography =
of the collection;  and supervise interns in cataloging collections.  =
The Assistant/Associate Registrar will assist the Registrar in all =
aspects of collections management including storage, cataloging, =
inventory, maintenance of forms, legal documents, files and retrieval =
systems in association with accessions, deaccesssions, loans, packing, =
shipping. =20

Candidate must be detail oriented with strong organizational and =
computer skills and possess solid knowledge of standard registration =
methods and collections management. Knowledge of digital imaging a plus. =
 Candidate must be able to work efficiently, be self-motivated and =
capable of prioritizing projects.  Position requirements are BA in =
history, art history or related field and a  minimum of 1 years =
experience in registration; 2 or more years preferred. Send cover =
