CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF MUSEUMS SPONSORS LEGISLATIVE ACTION DAY
On Monday, April 19, museum professionals will gather at the State Capitol to
impart the importance of museums to their state legislators. You are invited
and encouraged to join them. The afternoon will begin at noon with lunch at
the Golden State Museum. Kathy Lynch, lobbyist for the California Arts
Advocates, will give an overview of proposed legislation affecting museums.
She will also present guidance on how to become a better advocate. Following
the luncheon presentation, participants will meet with their legislators to
practice what they have learned. CAM will provide all those in attendance
with a packet of information to be presented during those visits.

To reserve your space for the luncheon, please call 714/567-3645 by April 5.
Space is limited!!

Please schedule your appointment with your legislators as soon as possible.
