We had several fragile specimens on loan from another organization several
years back. Our museum is very hands-on, and we have a policy of not using
"Do not touch" signs. Our solution was a sign that read- "Fragile, Eye
Contact Only Please." It was not foolproof (is anything?) but it got a
tolerable level of cooperation.
