I am working for a Cultural Development Programme in the former Yugoslav
Republic of MACEDONIA, assisting them to improve the cultural
infrastructure. Macedonia is the last safe and peaceful country just across
the border to Kosovo. The people are extremely friendly, life in the capital
(Skopje) is just as in a normal European city with less money. I would as
you for assistance to this country.

I have the following questions to you, dear LISTeners:

1) Can you provide me with the laws for sponsoring in your country, e.g. tax
deduction, on what grounds, maximum amounts etc. - if there are any laws.
2) Would you be interested to send exhibitions down to Macedonia?
Exhibitions with high cultural value, modern art, scientific findings etc.?
We need to establish more contacts.
3) Would you be interested in getting a Macedonian exhibition? About real
icons, about Neolithic objects etc.? The exhibition about icons is currently
in Paris, France. Other exhibitions would have to be made.
4) Are you interested in a kind of cultural exchange with musicians (they
have a very good Macedonian philharmonic orchestra), people from ballet,
theatre etc.?

The only problem in Macedonia is that they do have very little money, I
mean: VERY little.

I hope for some nice answers to establish contacts and cultural exchange. I
do think that also culture can be a peace driving force.

Peter, the peaceful Rebernik
