Dakota Science Center is seeking a History / Museum Education Intern to
assist in a delivery of a technology based educational program for
museum patrons and K-12 classrooms.


History / Museum Education Intern

* Facilitate collaboration between the State Historical Society of North
    Dakota and the NatureShift! Linking Learning to Life project.
* Assist in preparing on-line resources for K-12 classrooms, libraries,
     museums, and park sites by locating State Historical Society
resources
     appropriate to the topics to be presented.
* Assist the State Historical Society integrate a kiosk presenting the
     NatureShift! content in a way that will have the maximum impact on
the
     public.
* Desirable experience includes knowledge of educational applications of
     technology, and a background in the history of the Western Plains.
* Position is located in Bismarck, North Dakota at the State Historical
     Society (with some travel within the state of North Dakota), in
particular to
     the Dakota Science in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
* Federally funded multiple year project, NatureShift! Linking Learning
to
     Life, a Technology Innovation Challenge Grant project funded by the
U.S.
     Department of Education.
* Part time: 30 hours per week, at a salary of $14,000 per year.
