I do not believe it is visible any longer although it reemerged for a few
years. I'm originally from Utah and a few years ago (1992 I believe) a group
from Utah State University went out to view the jetty because it had
resurfaced due to the drought. The jetty was only visible for a few years
after it was completed and then submerged for years. It was beautiful because
the salt from the lake had crystalized on the surface several inches thick
although some of the stones had fallen or moved. You have a few options: you
can contact the Golden Spike National Monument which is near Rozel point
(20-30 mins south west on a dirt road at Rozel point) and ask if they know or
you can contact the Utah Arts Council and see if they know the latest. FYI
Smithson's wife, Nancy Holt, also had an earthwork in that part of Utah called
the Sun Tunnels which is still intact and viewed by dedicated groups during
the solstices - it appears on the cover of a book on Utah art called "State of
the Arts" and came out in 1993. Hope this helps and good luck on your quest!
