Peter, try the Eastern Regional Coal Archive in Bluefield, W.Va, which has
an outstanding collection of coal mining photographs. I've seen at least
one fitting your need. Call Eva McGuire at 304.325.3943....fax,
304.325.3702

I don't know of an e-mail address.

Subject: Canaries in Coal mines

>Does anyone know where I may obtain a copy of a historical photo
illustrating the use of canaries in coalmines to monitor air quality? What
Iąd like to find is a group of miners posing with a cage with a canary in
it.
