I am posting this for a museum professional friend who does not have
access...
What is the current thinking in the conservation community about the use of
PVC piping for storing rolled architectural drawings? The drawings are a
variety of mylars, traditional blueprint (white line on blue background),
blueline, sepia, and vellums. Does PVC offgass anything that will harm any
of these media? Any comments?
