I did wonder when someone would pick up on that!
I've just finished reading my student evaluations from a museum studies
course I taught in the fall. Some of the students thought I had a real NERVE
correcting their grammar and spelling and one was furious that I'd marked
them down for errors (even though I didn't, and had told them so in several
classes...guess he was asleep). I told them that, contrary to popular campus
opinion, people do notice such things, especially in museums, and discount
the intelligence of those who fail to observe the common rules.
