Subject: Museum property (Non-Fine Arts)-Auction Questions

Just wondering if anyone has experience with auctioning, selling, or
otherwise disposing of non-fine arts types of museum-used property. The
America's Smithsonian Exhibit (150th traveling anniversary celebration) has
left us with large quantities (approximately 40 tractor trailer loads) in
several categories of property including lighting; exhibit cases, platforms
and walls; security; audio visual; retail; ticketing and furniture.

We are eager to quickly sell-off what we have, probably by auctions this
January. The property is located in three different places, Scottsdale,
Arizona, Dallas, Texas and Alexandria, Virginia. Recommendations,
experience, etc. local or otherwise, would be appreciated. Of course,
offers would be, too, and feel free to pass this info to others in your
museum that may interested.
