the OMNICIRCUS PERFORMANCE SPACE and GATE 6 RECORDINGS present
a CD release party and live performance by
DeusMachina
Celebrating their new recording
HOUSE of the DEAFMAN

Friday Nov 13 8pm

Frank Garvey's House of the Deafman is the music for a multimedia
theaterwork about the great Spanish painter Francisco Goya. Released by
Gate 6 of San Francisco, this opus is the fruit of a collaboration between
Garvey and major talents including DeusMachina vox genius Diana Trimble and
Shafqat Ali Khan, one of the great singers of our time. (Shafqat is the
brother of Sukhavat Ali Khan, leader of the noted world-fusion ensemble ALI
KHAN.)

Shafqat Ali Khan's music combines Sufi, Indian classical and Western
rhythmic influence. He belongs to the Sham Curasi school of music from East
Punjab, which has a long tradition that dates to the Mughal times of
Emperor Akbar. Shafqat's uncle Ustad Nazakat Ali Khan and father Ustad
Salamat Ali Khan, both internationally acclaimed classical singers, were
major inspirations for world famous Sufi singer Nusrat Fatah Ali Khan.

This party will be a great opportunity to hang out with the community of the
OMNICIRCUS. Garvey's neo-psychedelic ensemble DeusMachina will perform live at
the party with the brilliant new lead singer Erin Kupferman handling the
vox chores. As usual the ROBOTIC ENSEMBLE of the OMNICIRCUS will combust
their infernal cavalcade of accompaniment.
