To all his friends and potential associates out there in the museum field: Dan
Tomberlin, Curator, Exhibit Planner & Designer, has opened a consulting
office. He will be working out of Hollywood (south Florida), but is available
for assignments across the country.

For over 20 years, Dan has designed and project-managed history, science and
art exhibit projects at the Colorado Historical Society, Montana Historical
Society, New Mexico Museum of Natural History, South Carolina State Museum,
The Space & Rocket Center (Huntsville, AL), The Smoky Hill Museum (Salina,
Kansas), The Columbus Museum (Georgia), The Orlando Science Center, The
Alabama Sports Hall of Fame, The Seminole County Museum (FLA), The Fort
Lauderdale Historical Society and The Art & Culture Center of Hollywood (FLA).

He has managed smaller projects all over the country, and has written and
implemented NEH, NEA, IMLS and various private grants. Graduate of the
University of South Carolina and alumnus of the Professional Museum Studies
graduate program of the University of Denver, he has also taught in the field
at the university level. For a number of years, Dan has been an IMLS-GOS grant
Peer Reviewer and MAP I & III Reviewer. He nas been active in AAM (and
state/regional organizations), AASLH and has been a NAME regional rep and
board member. He has collaborated on and designed a number of historical books.

Dan is knowledgeable and skilled, able to research just about any subject, and
easy to get along with, and costs are reasonable too (he's worked for
non-profits...he knows!). He would love to hear from you by snail-mail, e-mail
or telephone.
