CAC 25th Annual Conference and Workshop

The Canadian Association for Conservation of Cultural Property will be
holding its 25th Annual
Conference on May 28-30, 1999, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  Conference
papers are invited on all
aspects of museum, archival and fine art collections.  A poster session,
trade fair and tours are
planned to accompany these sessions.

The training workshop, "Green Conservation: Environmental and Human
Safety in
Conservation" will be held May 26-27, 1999. Workshop sessions will focus
on identification,
assessment and mitigation of known and potential health and
environmental hazards related to
conservation treatments. Directions on making collections and sites safe
and accessible will
also be given. Demonstrations and/or displays of safety equipment and
procedures are planned
to accompany the sessions by both health care professionals and
