Contact the National Trust for Historic Preservation, 1785 Massachusetts
Avenue, NW, Washington, DC, 20036.
Also contact the American Association for State and Local History at 1717
Church Street, Nashville, TN, 37203-2991. Another oldie but goodie is
the National Park Service. On the web it might be www.nps.gov. Do a
search.

In my humble opinion (or IMHO), pursuing a master's degree, even if to
figure out if the chicken came before the egg, is always a worthwhile
endeavor.
