EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR:  Insights, El Paso Science Museum, is seeking an
Executive Director.  Insights Museum is a privately funded, hands-on
science educational resource serving the international areas of El Paso,
Texas and Juarez, Mexico.  The museum is 18 years old, annual attendance
over 70,000 plus the mobile museum, staff of 10, annual operating budget
$500,000.  The facility is 22,000 sq. ft.  Expansion plans include a
rooftop observatory for early 1999 and a 50 ft. dome planetarium addition
for 2000.  Qualified candidates must have strong skills in administrative
management, oversight of strategic planning, exhibits and program
development, verbal and written communications, marketing, budgeting, fund
raising, and community relations.  Candidates must demonstrate a proven
five year record of success in management of a similar facility.  Minimum
qualifications: Bachelor's degreee (preferrably in the sciences), and
masters's degree preferred.  Annual salary range $45K to $55K.
