There are a number of museum-related web resources you should look into...

The Museum Learning Collaborative's web page includes an on-line,
searchable, bibliography that includes about 1500 citations -- 300 of which
are annotated.
http://mlc.lrdc.pitt.edu/mlc

Also try the Museum Studies Database, run by the Smithsonian.
http://www.si.edu/organiza/offices/musstud/data.htm
You search the database through SIRIS (Smithsonian Institution Research
Information System)
http://www.siris.si.edu/

You should also run searches on ERIC. There are a number of museum-related
articles. For example, here's one on museum school partnerships:
http://www.ed.gov/databases/ERIC_Digests/ed278380.html
To search ERIC go to
http://www.ed.gov/databases/ERIC_Digests/index/
While you're there, check out the Department of Education's new
publication, Museums & learning: A Guide for Family Visits
http://www.ed.gov/pubs/Museum/

Also take a look at the Institute for Learning Innovation. their web page
includes the complete text of some of their recent publications and
research studies.
http://ilinet.org/

There are also a couple useful newsletters online. See the Visitor Studies
Association
http://museum.cl.msu.edu/VSA/vstoday/index.html

I'd also advise that you try your local library again. Ask for the staff
person that manages interlibaray loans. Let them know that there are a
number of university libraries that have the books you want on museum
education, programming, and exhibit development (George Washington
University, JFK University, etc.). Some city libraries have better
interlibrary loan relationships than others, but it's worth a try.

Finally, some journals have web pages that allow you to at least look at
the table of contents and abstracts, if not complete articles on line.
(Even getting just the title of an article is useful since your
interlibrary loan staff should be able to get a copy of the article for
you.)
I do not think that Curator has a web page. But try the following journals
for museum-related articles:

Journal of Museum Education
http://www.erols.com/merorg/publ/jme/jme.html

The National Association for Museum Exhibition's journal, The Exhibitionist
http://130.160.178.161/Exhibitionist.html

Journal of Education in Museums
http://www.gem.org.uk/jemcat.html

Science Education
http://www.interscience.wiley.com/jpages/0036-8326/

Journal of Research in Science Teaching
http://www.interscience.wiley.com/jpages/0022-4308/

Public Understanding of Science
http://www.iop.org/EJ/S/1/NVA548490/?MIval=journal&key=0963-6625

To look up other online journals try Undercover Web

Good luck!
Kirsten
