Please find below two postings for positions to be filled immediately in the
Education Department of the Art Gallery of Ontario. For more information

POSITION I

Job Title:      Program Coordinator: Volunteer Programs (full-time)
Salary:         $46,081-$57,602
Reports to:     Head of Education

Summary of Function:
Develops, implements and coordinates training for Gallery volunteers
involved in group tours for the Education Department, The Grange (historical
house), and the Marvin Gelber Print and Drawing Study Centre, in
consultation with staff in these areas. Coordinates docent and volunteer
programs in the Education Department.

Qualifications:
- M.Ed. in Adult Education
- MA in Art History
- 3-5 years experience in education programming in a non-gallery setting
- curriculum development experience
- excellent verbal & written communication skills
- outstanding interpersonal skills
- studio experience an asset
- languages other than English an asset


POSITION II

Job Title:      Program Coordinator: Gallery School (full-time)
Salary:         $46,081-$57,602
Reports to:     Program Manager: Gallery School & Family Programs

Summary of Function:
Researches, develops, implements and coordinates curriculum and courses for
adults, teens & children in the Anne Tanenbaum Gallery School (9,000 sq.ft.
art school in museum, established 1930). Responsible for planning and
administration of all aspects of course delivery including staff supervision.

Qualifications:
- MA in Visual Arts (studio) and/or Education (studio background essential)
- 3-5 years experience in program developement, curriculum development and
evaluation
- outstanding verbal and written communications skills
- outstanding record in dealing with personnel in an unionized environment,
particularly in team coordination
- well organized and exhibits great attention to detail in dealing with
administrative practices
- friendly & outgoing manner
- languages other than English an asset
